The Junior Certificate is a three year course, where students will study both compulsory subjects and optional subjects.
Compulsory Subjects
- Irish
- English
- Mathematics
- Geography
- Science
- Business Studies
- Civic, Social & Political Education
- Computers
- Religion
- Physical Education
- Social, Personal and Health Education
Optional Subjects
Students will study three of the following optional subjects:
- French
- History
- Technical Graphics
- Music
- Art, Craft, Design
- Home Economics
- Material Technology (Wood)
Students will get the opportunity to take each of the optional subjects for a short period of time before choosing the subjects that they will study for Junior Certificate.
All of the above subjects are available at Higher and Ordinary Level. Irish, English, and Mathematics are also available at Foundation Level.
